Born from the passion of husband-and-wife team Mike and Amie, StyleDetour celebrates the twists, turns, and unexpected paths that make every story unique. Just like the things we create.
The story began in 2015 with Briabay, a sweet, handmade children’s brand inspired by our firstborn daughter, Bria, and the place where our family story started: Montego Bay, Jamaica. What began as little headbands crafted with care grew into a full line of apparel that captured the spirit of childhood. For over a decade, Briabay brought joy to mothers and daughters, a reflection of our own growing family. But as Bria turned 10, it became clear that our original muse was outgrowing the designs that once defined her.
Rather than see this as an end, we saw it as a detour. StyleDetour was born to house not just one story, but many. A place where ideas that don’t fit on the main road can thrive. From limited run, handmade children's clothes to upcycled streetwear that gives nostalgic pieces a second life, to humorous on-demand prints designed to make people smile and beyond. Every brand under StyleDetour reflects a different part of our journey, our humor, our values, and maybe yours too.
